NOTICE

December 7th to December 8th

Please be advised that on December 7th – 8th, 2023, the SOUTHVIEW OFF-LEASH DOG PARK AREA in the southwest of Calgary will be temporarily closed due to early construction work associated with the Deerfoot Trail Improvements Projects. Closure of the off -leash area is required for the safety of the public and their pets.

Please be mindful of and obey onsite signage and traffic accommodations. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to complete these complex, multi-year improvements.

Land Acknowledgement

Deerfoot Trail is located within Treaty 7, and within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai Nations; the Stoney-Nakoda, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Wesley Nations; and the Tsuut’ina Nation. We also acknowledge the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 3.
