GLENMORE TRAIL

SUMMER 2026 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

What’s Completed?

Bridge Rehabilitation
While rehabilitation work on the existing southbound bridge at Glenmore Trail is ongoing, progress has been made in completing some key pieces of work. The existing concrete barrier walls have been removed to prepare for the installation of new replacement barriers. This is done to ensure that aged or damaged barriers do not remain in use. Temporary support structures, known as shoring towers, have also been installed to support the bridge and ensure safety and stability during construction.

What’s Ongoing?

Bridge Rehabilitation
New traffic alignments have been put in place to accommodate ongoing rehabilitation work and provide crews with appropriate access and space, while several key pieces of work are ongoing. The eastern portion of the bridge deck is currently being milled to remove the top layer of asphalt; this is done to create an even surface for new asphalt. Damaged and worn portions of concrete are also being removed and repaired where necessary.
