GLENMORE TRAIL

SPRING 2025 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction is ramping up for the busiest season this project has seen. To date, the project has accumulated 513,707 manhours and is currently employing 211 personnel across various disciplines. As the project advances into subsequent phases, workforce numbers are expected to increase in the coming months to meet construction demands. A total of 1,254.91 linear metres of pipe for storm drainage was installed across the project area this spring.
Substructure Work
Progress continues around the bridge abutments at the Glenmore Trail interchange, and pier rebar installation and close formwork activities are ongoing. Work on the new bridge’s substructure including piling and pier work was completed at the end of April, and girder installation is ongoing. All 42 girders being installed were cast in the Red Deer area.
Storm Work and Utility Relocation
The installation of the storm system in the northeast corner of Glenmore, which started in April, continues. Waterline trenchless utility relocation south of Glenmore is ongoing and anticipated to be completed in the coming weeks.
