Starting the week of November 10, 2025, traffic on northbound Deerfoot Trail will be shifted to the new bridge over Glenmore Trail. Following this traffic shift, rehabilitation of the old bridge will begin. This traffic shift will remain in effect until the rehabilitation activities are completed in 2027.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
NORTHBOUND DEERFOOT TRAIL TRAFFIC SWITCH Work to complete the lane realignment on Deerfoot Trail will begin the week of November 10, 2025. Barriers will be put in place south of the Glenmore interchange to direct traffic on northbound Deerfoot lanes to use the new bridge.
NIGHT AND DAYTIME ACTIVITIES New signage and concrete barriers will be installed overnight to accommodate the new traffic realignment. They will remain in place until the rehabilitation activities on the old bridge are completed.
TIMELINES
The traffic staging for this lane realignment will take approximately two days (and nights) to complete and will be in effect on the week of November 10, 2025, until the bridge rehabilitation is completed in 2027.
