GLENMORE TRAIL

A temporary lane realignment will be implemented on northbound Deerfoot Trail north of the Glenmore Trail interchange the week of October 2, 2026 to facilitate median work.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

LANE REALIGNMENT

The traffic realignment on northbound Deerfoot Trail will begin immediately north of the Glenmore Trail interchange and continue to the CN Rail overpass (see map below).

Open lanes will shift to the right (east) to create space for work in the centre median. The same number of lanes will be maintained through the work to minimize traffic disruption. Existing pavement markings will be removed and replaced with updated markings.

TIMELINES

The lane realignment will take approximately two days to set up and is anticipated to remain in place until Summer 2027.

SPEED REDUCTION

Speed reductions will be in place throughout the work zones. Please obey onsite signage and posted speed limits. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.
