GLENMORE TRAIL

SUMMER 2026 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

What’s Completed?

Bridge Rehabilitation
Concrete pours for the bridge deck were completed on the east side. Steel reinforcing bars were installed to provide additional strength and durability to the concrete.

Work continues on the east deck barrier, with formwork being installed in preparation for concrete placement.

MSE Wall Construction
Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall panels were installed on the bridge approaches to support the roadway and surrounding soil.

What’s Ongoing?

Bridge Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation work is ongoing, following the transition of traffic onto the newly constructed bridge.

Roadworks
Work at the Deerfoot Trail and Glenmore Trail interchange is focused on widening southbound Deerfoot Trail and preparing the area for its final configuration. This includes expanding the roadway, widening the median, and building the foundation needed to support new lanes.

A key part of this work is subgrade construction. Recent work has included building and preparing the subgrade through the placement of several foundation layers. Once subgrade work is complete, paving work can move forward.
