What's New?

Bridge Work

Bridge deck construction is in full swing, including deck rebar installation and barrier formwork. The installation of the overhangs and the supportive material for the bridge deck has been completed.

South abutment secant wall cap concrete has been poured and cured. Secant walls are a type of retaining wall constructed using overlapping piles, and the cap is poured as a protective finishing. Concrete has also been poured and cured for the back walls on both the north and south bridge abutments.

Roadworks

Storm pond excavation continues in this area, along with grading and paving for future roads and upcoming temporary detours.

What's Ongoing?

Roadworks

Work is ongoing on the North Glenmore barrier installation. The concrete pour for the cast-in-place concrete barriers has begun as part of the new road design to accommodate the changes in this project area.

What's Completed?

Structural Milestone

The girder installation was completed on June 7th for the new bridge structure at the Glenmore Trail/Deerfoot Trail intersection; a total of 42 girders were installed.
